Taille du fichier syslog

Salut !

Je viens de voir que mes fichiers syslogs font environ 1 Go de taille chacun.
Tout le monde raconte sa vie dedans sans arret et je vois pas de message d'alerte.

Je souhaite desactiver ce service.

Mais dans systemd il y a deux services actifs :
Rsylog.service
et
Syslog.service.

Questions :
- faut-il desactiver les deux ?
- cela aura t il des impacts sur le fonctionnement de la bécanne ?

Fais plutôt un tour du côté de logrotate
LinuxMint Virginia Cinnamon et d'autres machines en MATE, XFCE... 20.x , 21.x ou 19.x

C'est pas très malin de désactiver les logs car en cas de soucis, tu n'auras pas de traces où chercher les origines
Par contre tu peux éditer les fichiers de conf pour limiter la taille de ces fichiers, cf : viewtopic.php?f=33&t=16530
(attribut size)

Par contre, faudrait mieux savoir pourquoi il se remplissent ainsi ;)
Donc jette un oeil à ces logs et voir quelles infos sont logguées de façon réitérée pour les remplir à ce point
- cela aura t il des impacts sur le fonctionnement de la bécanne ?
non tant qu'elle tourne sans soucis, mais pas logique comme remédiation

Si tu n'as pas d'infos à rechercher dans les journaux, tu pourrais les supprimer :

mais mon souci serait d'eviter que toute les secondes ça enregistre tout et n"importe
quoi dans syslog.

Peut etre est il possible de parametrer le service pour n'enregistrer que les
messages importants...
