Avoir autant de malchance avec deux PC différents, c'est incroyable.
Sachant qu'on part d'une énième installation de Linux Min 22t, que tu n'as pas restauré ton /home et que ça plante toujours autant, je pourrais penser, peut être à un problème matériel ou une incompatibilité avec les noyaux récents de LM22.

Perso, je n'utilise toujours pas Linux Mint 22, j'ai eu trop d'instabilité même si ce n'était pas des blocages, ça restait assez pénible d'où mon retour sur la 21.3 qui ne m'a jamais déçu.

As tu eu des blocages de ce type simplement en installant Linux Mint 22 ?

Je vois deux pistes de mon coté mais sans garantie.

Un problème mémoire. C'est quelque chose qui peut assez facilement être confirmé en faisant un test approfondi avec memtest.
Pas besoin de réinstaller le système puisque memtest est déjà intégré.
Tu trouveras ci-dessous un mode opératoire à suivre plutôt bien expliqué :

Si le test est KO, c'est que tu as à minima une barrette mémoire. Sachant que tu viens de récupérer ce PC, un changement de mémoire et on part déjà sur une base plus seine.

Autre piste mais ça nécessite à nouveau une réinstallation, ce qui, dans ton cas va devenir assez pénible vu le nombre de fois que tu l'as déjà fait : tester avec Linux Mint 21.3. Alors certes, le noyau est moins récent, les applis, du moins certaines aussi, mais les mises à jours se poursuivent encore plusieurs années

Peut-être un problème de firmware ? Quand les machines sont très neuves, elles ne disposent pas toujours des dernières versions des pilotes de leur propre matériel.
Pour en savoir plus, tu peux tenter :

La première commande met à jour la base de données, d'une façon similaire à un "sudo apt update" dans l'esprit. La seconde permet de voir, vis-à-vis de cette base rafraîchie ce qui peut réellement être mis à jour. Ça te donnera une idée de la situation et voir s'il y a lieu d'agir. Si tel est le cas, la commande est la suivante

sudo fwupdmgr update
et suivre les indications à l'écran. S'il y a plusieurs mises à jour, il peut être intéressant d'y revenir autant de fois que nécessaire.

J'ai installé Mint 22 cet été, dès que la MAJ a été disponible, et cela s'est très bien passé : je n'ai essuyé aucun plantage.
Un problème mémoire. C'est quelque chose qui peut assez facilement être confirmé en faisant un test approfondi avec memtest.
Je vais essayer memtest.
Du point de vue matériel, je sais que j'ai deux barrettes de 8 Go (j'étais présent lorsque mon vendeur a fait le montage), mais je ne pourrais pas en dire plus...

J'ignorais ce que signifiait firmware. Si j'ai bien compris, iI s'agit donc de micro-logiciels qui pilotent certains éléments matériels, périphériques ou autres... Je sais que la machine n'est pas très récente (mon vendeur me l'a dit). Ceci expliquerait peut-être cela ?...

Il m'est impossible d'effectuer le test memtest86 en relançant le PC.

En effet, lorsque le menu Grub s'affiche, je n'ai que trois choix :
- <Mint 22>
- <Advanced options for Mint 22>
- <UEFI Firmware Settings>

Aucune trace de la commande <Memory Test (memtests86+.elf)>, telle que mentionnée par le site malekal.com !

Si je choisis <UEFI Firmware Settings>, je n'obtiens qu'un écran noir, et le PC recommence le processus de lancement...

Se pourrait-il que tout cela provienne de la machine ? ou d'une barrette mémoire défaillante, comme le suggère Delbadir ?
Sachant que tu viens de récupérer ce PC, un changement de mémoire défaillante, et on part déjà sur une base plus saine.

Je viens d'essuyer un nouveau plantage. J'étais en train d'ouvrir une BD de LibreOffice : écran noir qui s'affiche brutalement, puis quelques secondes après, au milieu de cet écran noir, à gauche, la lucarne affichant mon nom et le bouton <Se connecter>. Je clique dessus (sans entrer mon mot de passe) et je retrouve mon environnement personnel.

Bonjour Yves1953,

Pour Memtest, il est accessible directement en bootant depuis une clef usb contenant l'iso de linux mint 21.3, ça serait surprenant que ce ne soit pas le cas avec une clef contenant l'iso de LM22.
Juste après le démarrage, tu as le menu habituel qui te permet de démarrer ton PC en "live CD", faire l'installation ... la dernière ligne c'est pour tester la mémoire.

Pour les messages d'erreur que tu as affiché, je n'ai malheureusement pas suffisamment de connaissances pour te répondre, je vais laisser le clavier aux sachants :l

Je suis désolé, je n'y comprends rien : je n'arrive pas à trouver cette commande <Memtest> :

- J'ai placé la clé live USB de Mint 22 et j'ai relancé l'ordi ;
- J'ai tapé <F11> pour ouvrir le menu de lancement ;
- J'ai tapé la ligne concernant la clé live pour pouvoir booter depuis celle-ci ;
- J'ai ensuite tapé la touche <Majuscules> pour ouvrir le menu Grub, mais rien ne se passe, et c'est Mint (celui de la clé) qui se charge.

J'ai dû rater un épisode...

Nouveau plantage. J'ai dû relancer. J'en ai profité pour refaire la manoeuvre avec la clé. Mais le résultat est le même : pas de commande <Memtest>, ni dans le menu de lancement du BIOS, ni dans le menu Grub.

J'ai pris des photos du message affiché sur l'écran noir du plantage. Je ne peux pas les transférer ici (car les clichés sont trop volumineux), mais j'ai pu les recopier à la main :

Slt,
a la lecture de ta signature , je pense que on a tous penser à la même chose :
la partie graphique est intégré à la puce : oui avec Intel® HD Graphics 530
hors il semble que tu ais aussi une carte graphique vidéo en plus ( nvidia ) puisque le pilote libre nouveau est installé ;)
Fouille dans les menus , tu devrais trouver un outils du nom (a peu près) de pilote additionnels
voir ce qu'il te trouve ;)

Des erreurs aussi dans ta signature, ton proc n'a pas 8 cœurs mais 4 avec 8 threads ;)

Vraiment étrange

Dans mon cas, c'est la touche F12 (je ne sais pas si c'est spécifique à Dell par contre) qui me permet de choisir l'ordre de démarrage et au boot, j'ai bien la possibilité de lancer memtest

J'essaie de retrouver la clef que j'avais faite avec l'iso de LM22 pour voir si on a la possibilité de faire la même chose qu'avec l'iso de la 21.3 mais je ne vois pas pourquoi ils auraient enlevé cette possibilité.

Je n'ai trouvé aucun gestionnaire NVIDIA dans mes menus.
Il n'y a que le gestionnaire de pilotes qui fait mention à la possibilité d'installer un des pilotes NVIDIA disponibles.

Au cours de l'une de mes précédentes installations, j'ai tenté d'installer le premier pilote de la liste (estampillé "recommandé"), mais cela provoquait un conflit avec Ancestris (une de mes applications, qui refusait de se lancer), c'est pourquoi je l'ai désactivé, et j'ai choisi le pilote open-source à la place. Et Ancestris a bien voulu démarrer.
