scanner EPSON XP-455 non reconnu

Bonjour,
j'ai installé sur un pc Mint 19.03 une imprimante-scanner epson XP-455. L'imprimante est reconnue, mais pas le scanner, quelquesoit le logiciel de scan.
J'ai pourtant installé le pilote de scan de Epson.
Mais doit-il être installé dans un dossier particulier?

J'ai eu aussi pas mal de soucis avec mon Epson XP-335 à partir de Mint 19.2 alors que tout se passait bien avant. Vraisemblablement une incompatibilité avec les drivers officiels. J'avais résolu le problème en utilisant Xsane ou je ne sais plus quel logiciel tiers.
Depuis que je suis passé à Mint 20, plus de souci. Le numériseur de documents intégré d'origine (v3.36.3) trouve naturellement mon scanner Epson.

oui maintenu jusqu'en avril 2025 (les LTS de LM sont de 4-5 ans en général) :

Attention quand même à la mise à jour 20.1... Il semblerait que ce qui marche bien pour le moment avec mon Epson redevienne un casse-tête avec l'abandon de ippusb.
Je cite le site officiel:
In Linux Mint 20 (and Ubuntu 20.04), the distribution shipped with ippusbxd, an implementation of IPP over USB. Thanks to IPP, also referred to as driverless printing/scanning, devices can be detected and used without the need for any drivers and in a standard way. Unfortunately the presence of IPP over USB also means drivers are bypassed and inhibited. Ippusbxd turned out to be a disappointment and created more problems than it solved.
In Linux Mint 20.1 ippusbxd was removed so printing and scanning work the same way as in Linux Mint 19.x and prior releases.
Ce serait dommage de régresser sur ce point... Sera-t-il possible d'installer ippusb manuellement ? À priori, oui...
Both ipp-usb and sane-airscan are available in the Linux Mint 20.1 repositories. Try them out if you can't get your printer or scanner to work with software drivers.
