Pb imprimante Canon avec Simple scan

Bonjour, sous Mint 18.3, j'ai installé scangearmp2 et mon imprimante/scanner Canon TS6051 est reconnue. Je parviens à scanner mais c'est très rudimentaire : juste des JPG et des PDF d'un page, sans crop possible. La partie imprimante fonctionne. Tout est relié en USB pour un début.
J'aurais souhaité utiliser Simple Scan ou XSane mais ça ne marche pas : aucun des deux logiciels ne trouve le scanner. Pour tant...

Que puis-je faire ?
