Nouveau portable qui plante souvent

Bonjour
Ma fille s' est acheté un nouveau portable HP, avec W$10 dessus (inévitable)
Elle m'a demandé de le mettre en dual boot avec Mint. Donc, j'ai rétréci la partition W$ de moitié , de la manière appropriée (utilitaire disque Windows)

Pour démarrer en live-usb, il faut appuyer sur la touche F9, sélectionner démarrage sur clé usb. Tout se passe bien. Je fais mes trois partitions, comme il se doit. J'installe Mint 18.3 Mate 64 bits. Installation sans heurts. Je redémarre. Je dois, à chaque fois, appuyer sur F9, et sélectionner démarrage à partir du disque dur (au lieu de laisser l' UEFI faire) Ce n'est pas grave.

Le problème, c'est que l'ordi plante complètement, de façon aléatoire.

Redémarrage (souvent hard reset). Parfois j'aboutis sur le GRUB RESCUE. Quand ça arrive, ma partition "/" ne peut plus être montée, si j'essaie d'y accéder depuis ma live usb. J'ai donc réinstallé le système plusieurs fois. La dernière, j'ai fait toutes les mises à jour de 1 à 3, et tout a eu l'air de bien fonctionner. Jusqu'à hier.

Le pc est très récent, peut être que le CPU AMD n'est pas supporté par ce kernel 4.10 qui commence à faire son âge.

Et l'installation du microcode AMD a été faite. ??

J'ai balancé toutes les mises à jour à l'ordi,ce soir. Noyau compris. Le microcode n'est pas utilisé, dans le gestionnaire de pilotes,
